Welcome to Spirit of Hope, an intimate, family-friendly church seeking to become the hands and
feet of Christ by focusing our energies on serving those beyond the church walls.
In recent years more than 20% of our income has flowed back out to the community and
world to care for our troops, to serve homeless families with children and the seriously
mentally ill through United Methodist Outreach Ministries, to provide affordable housing
for low income families through Habitat for Humanity, and to support Nothing But Nets,
a world-wide effort to stop the spread of malaria in third-world countries.
Our main worship service, where we experience the love of Christ and are energized for all God has for us to do and be, is at 10:30 a.m. It is upbeat and relaxed, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. We love to sing the old songs of the faith, but also enjoy more contemporary ones. Our choir provides an eclectic mix of traditional and contemporary arrangements, and welcomes newcomers who love to sing. Children are treasured in this church and welcomed in worship. We also provide a professionally staffed nursery for younger children, should parents desire to use it. Sunday school for all ages, where we deepen our faith and learn more about God’s love, which was made so real in Jesus Christ, is at 9:00 A.M. Various opportunities at other times of the week encourage men and women of all ages to deepen their faith. You might want to stop by Starbucks at 75th and Thunderbird some Saturday at 8:30 a.m. to check out our Life Changing Bible Study.
