Welcome to Hope, the “inside-out church!” Surrounded by a sea of
“mega-churches,” Spirit of Hope is a more intimate, family-friendly church,
seeking to become the hands and feet of Christ by focusing outward
in mission. In fact, around 21% of our total income for 2008 went to
support our many missions, including (but certainly not limited to!)
our adopted women’s shelter, caring for our troops, United Methodist
Outreach Ministries, Habitat for Humanity, and Nothing But Nets,
which is a world-wide effort to stop the spread of malaria in
third-world countries.
We get charged up to go out into the world by attending worship. The new 8:15 service of communion and prayer is perfect for you early risers who like something contemplative. Our main worship hour is at 10:30 a.m. and is a relaxed and upbeat combination of both traditional and contemporary elements. Depending upon the day, you may hear a deeply moving classical anthem from our chancel choir or rousing piece of praise music from some of our musicians. Some Sundays we use the old, familiar Methodist hymns and liturgy, while on other Sundays we may mix in something new. In other words, we have our own warm, personal style and there’s something for everyone! Children are important at our church. We love to have the all ages in worship with us, and we have a professionally staffed nursery available should a tiny one get too restless. Sunday school is for ALL children of God, from the youngest to the oldest, and available for all ages at 9:00 AM.
In short, God is doing good things at Hope. All that’s missing is YOU!
